Buttermilk Syrup
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. butter
2 T. corn syrup
1 t. baking soda
2 t. vanilla
In a saucepan combine the first five ingredients, bring to a boil. Boil for 7 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Makes about 2 cups of syrup.
